Dozer vs. Bolt (Thunders Arena)

One of my favorite wrestlers from awhile back was Dozer. I was lucky enough to meet him a few times and let me tell you, he's just as incredible in person, maybe even better than in his videos. The intensity is real and he just loves to show off. So for my first blog post I'm going to review a match from a few year’s back, where Dozer took on Bolt at Thunders Arena. What I loved about this match was Bolt loves to chirp his mouth and Dozer is a patient man, who will let the little guys go off for a bit, before turning on a dime and going to work.

Right off the bat, you can see both have some true wrestling skills and Bolt tries his best to do some classic wrestling moves on Dozer, but that doesn't last long and within a few seconds you have Bolt locked up, with Dozer using one arm to completely control the smaller guy and the other to flex and show who has the true power.

There’s nothing sexier than watching Bolt squirm under the complete dominating power of Dozer and within a few minutes, Dozer takes complete control and lifts Bolt up from his neck, squeezing the air out as he slams him to the ground. It’s a quick move and I’m sure Dozer could have held him up there for at least another hour, but it sets the tone nicely, that Dozer isn’t here to mess around. One of my fantasies growing up was being pinned down by an older classmate, so I guess seeing Dozer do a schoolboy pin so easily on Bolt, is just icing on the cake. Dozer not only loves to get the knees right on Bolt’s arms, consolidating all 230 pounds on his little arms, but he takes even more joy using the time to flex every way imaginable. Double bicep posing seems to be his favorite and he spends a good amount of time staring at the camera posing, while Bolt lays practically motionless.

About ten minutes into the match we get to see our first Full Nelson. Besides swinging poor Bolt around back and forth like a teeter totter, Dozer then lifts him off his feet and tosses him around a bit more. Bolt’s face says it all here - this is one painful move. Then without any warning at all, Dozer flips Bolt over his shoulder into a fireman’s carry and in one of the more humiliating moves, starts to squat him, like a warm-up weight. . I always love seeing the big guy get some workouts in with a little guy as a play weight, so this was definitely highlight real material for me. For the next few minutes Bolt gets in a few moves that for a brief second, looks like he has Dozer on the ropes, but it doesn't take long for Dozer to get control again.

Continuing with the human weight theme, Dozer lays Bolt over his chest, as if Bolt was actually going to pin the guy and starts bench pressing the kid like he weighs less than a barbell. I lost track after 20 reps, but definitely one of my favorite parts of the movie is watching Bolt get absolutely manhandled, as Dozer continues to press him up and down before finally tossing him off to the side. Technically Dozer’s shoulders were down on the mat for the three count, but who’s going to tell him that and call the match?

As the match starts to wrap up, there's a point where Bolt gets Dozer in a sleeper and it’s having absolutely no effect on the big guy. It’s a futile effort on Bolt’s part, but when Dozer starts to flex his arms and take back control, it’s almost as if Dozer’s biceps are bigger than Bolt’s head. Now granted, Dozer is closer to the camera, so the angle plays it up, but seriously, Dozer’s arms and Bolt’s entire head seem about the same size.

To wrap it up, Dozer way too easily hoists Bolt above his head and into a pure strength gorilla press. As expected, this is almost zero effort for Dozer and after a few minutes of taunting the kid, he slams him down to finish him off. Bolt’s knocked out cold and Dozer uses the time to flex over his prey one more time. Laughably, Dozer looks at the camera and says Bolt was a “valiant contender”. It would almost be funny if he hadn’t spent the last 15 minutes destroying him.

With about five minutes left in the video, I start to get worried, as it looks like Dozer is going to have his way with Bolt for a few more minutes. Seeing a helpless guy, already beaten down, subject to more punishment is icing on the cake for me and once again Dozer delivers.

After a little more flexing and back and forth, Dozer grabs Bolt’s body by the neck and legs and basically just bends Bolt in a way the body is not supposed to bend. Dozer’s left arm is popping now and you can see a whole highway of veins running through his body.

I thought this was going to end it, but seemingly out of nowhere, Bolt makes one more attempt to take on the monster. By now, we know how this ends as Dozer racks him up one more time over his shoulders and begins doing squat jumps adding insult to injury. Ring the bell… this one is over.

The match ends with my favorite part of every Dozer squash match. As the kid is laid out, Dozer stares intensely into the camera and flexes one more time. It’s almost like Dozer feels bad for the destruction he just caused, but maybe I’m just reading too much into it. This guy is the real deal and it makes me sad that he retired from wrestling a few years ago.

So hopefully this gives you a little taste of what I'm into and my thoughts on this match. I would love your feedback (good or bad) . Anyone else a fan of Dozer matches?
